The Timber Sales process is a multi-stage, multi-disciplinary project. The Edward F. Travis, Company, Inc. conducts, oversees and manages timber sales by setting up the sale on the ground, and designating the harvest area. Bids are solicited, and we assist the owner in making the selection. Then drawing up a Sales Contract, we close the sale, and monitor the performance of the sales agreement, while logging is underway. At the end of the timber sales and harvesting project, a detailed audit of the timber sales financial performance is conducted to insure that the logging contractor has complied with best management practices (BMP’s).
